Why this project?As a veteran ballerina of 9 years, I know how much grit the graceful art of ballet requires. When people see ballet, they see the illusion of dancers floating on the tips of your feet, flying through the air, effortlessly spinning and stretching, however it takes a lot of training, muscles, and pain to create that illusion. Ballerinas are taught to hide the stinging pain in their feet and their sore muscles from the audience, however I wish to expose just that, through my photographs.
